Regulator and Meter Sizing Tips
Inlet pressure, type of gas, connection size, load and capacity, these are just a few things you need to know to properly size meters and regulators. Review our useful sizing tips below to make sure you select the right meter and regulator sizes for your project.
Meters Sizing Tips
Finding the right size of diaphragm meter, rotary meter, or turbine flow meter can be tricky. Here are some important things you need to know for proper meter sizing:
- Line pressure
- Type of gas being metered
- Load/Capacity
- Required connection size
- Pressure or temperature correction
- Required pulse output/remote read
- Require sealing
When sizing regulators and gas
meters, we will supply you with all the
information you need to quote your
customer.
Regulator Sizing Tips
There are several types of gas regulators such as propane regulators, appliance regulators, high-pressure regulators to name a few. Just like for meters, regulators require proper sizing. Review our regulator sizing tips per regulator type below to pick the right product size.
